Event Details

Slider Studio invite you to take part in a workshop to tell us your specific technology needs for neighbourhood planning. This will be a chance to:

  • Discuss the emerging neighbourhood planning process
  • Discover existing tools to prepare and review plans
  • Imagine new tools to help you plan a neighbourhood
  • Share your ideas and experiences in web and digital tools

Who is this event for?

These workshops are aimed at professionals (architects, urban designers), community groups, local authorities, planning consultants, planners, councillors, Property PRs, Developers.... anyone with a personal or business interest in how Neighbourhood Planning will work.

We would also like to hear from software development companies / technologists who are looking for opportunities to collaborate with us on this project. If you are a technologist/developer looking for an opportunity to work in the built environment and feel you could add something to the conversation, please sign up - we'd love to hear from you.

Workshop Structure:

We will be running a series of participatory exercises to capture and share existing knowledge and experiences; and to map out new possibilities for websites and digital tools for neighbourhood planning. Using a gamestorming format we will be carrying out a premortem of the Neighbourhood Planning process.

Through the gamestorming exercises, we will explore the neighbourhood planning process, take a look at the evolving roles, discuss new challenges faced by those involved and look at ways that the process could exploit the web through new or existing tools and strategies.

Registration will be at 2pm for a 2.15pm start, and we hope to round the event up by 4.30pm.

Everything we make together in the workshops will be made public and available for participants and other interested parties.

If you would like to attend both workshops to ensure you are part of the whole conversation, you will need to complete the booking process twice (once for each date).
